1. Oil filter

The oil filter is a filter used in car engines. Its main function is to filter impurities and pollutants in the oil and prevent these particles from entering the engine. Regular replacement of the oil filter helps to extend the service life of the engine and maintain the performance of the engine.

During the use of the internal combustion engine, mechanical impurities such as dust, metal chips, carbon dust, etc. will continue to mix into the oil, and at the same time, the air and combustion exhaust gas will oxygenate the oil. The chemical reaction will also cause the oil to gradually produce colloids. Mechanical impurities mixed with colloids will also form sludge, which will not only accelerate the wear of moving parts, but also easily cause oil circuit blockage. To ensure the cleanliness of the oil, the engine is equipped with an oil filter in the lubrication system.

At present, most car engines use spin-on oil filters, which are disposable filters that cannot be disassembled and washed. When changing the lubricating oil, the oil filter must be replaced at the same time, otherwise it will affect the quality of the lubricating oil.

2. Air Filter

The air filter is a filter installed in the car’s air intake system. Its main function is to prevent impurities in the air from entering the engine combustion chamber. Keeping the air filter clean helps improve combustion efficiency, reduce fuel consumption, and protect the operation of the engine.

There is a lot of dust suspended in the air, the main component of which is silicon dioxide, a substance harder than metal. Installing an air filter can reduce the wear of parts such as cylinders, pistons, and piston rings. If a car does not install it, cylinder wear will increase by 7 times, piston wear will increase by 3 times, and piston ring wear will increase by 8 times. Therefore, Modern automobile engines are equipped with air filters at the carburetor (or the intake control device of the electronic fuel injection engine).

Currently, most automobile engines use a dry air filter with a paper filter element that is small in weight, low in cost, easy to replace, and has high filtration efficiency.

When cleaning, the filter element should be removed and the end surface should be gently tapped. Compressed air should be blown from the inside to the outside to remove dust on the core. Do not use gasoline or water to wash it. The air filter must be replaced every 10,000 kilometers.

3. Fuel filter

Fuel filter (Fuel filter There are three types of filters: diesel filter, gasoline filter and gas filter. The function of the fuel filter is to prevent particulate matter, water and impurities in the fuel, and to protect the precision parts of the fuel system from wear and other damage.

During the storage, transportation and filling process of gasoline, some impurities and water will inevitably be mixed in. These impurities are brought into the fuel supply system and the engine cylinder with the fuel, and the cylinder will accelerate the wear. Before the gasoline enters the gasoline pump, it must be filtered to ensure the normal operation of the gasoline supply system.

At present, most engines are equipped with disposable non-removable paper filter gasoline filters, and the replacement cycle is generally 10,000 kilometers. The filter has arrow marks on the inlet and outlet of the oil port. Do not install it upside down when replacing it.
